While she competed at many levels during her time in college and during school but it was not until after when Taft decided to focus on broadcasting. Taft, who graduated from Boston University in broadcast journalism and a concentration in reports on sports and regional ties, began her career working with Fox Sports North. As well as covering sports Taft worked as social media contributors and filled the gaps for a variety of games. After a while her promotion, she joined the Fox Sports One's News and Highlights Team.
